Invacare’s reputation as a progressive rehab equipment industry leader has a rich history, beginning in 1885 when wheeled support products were first produced in the Greater Cleveland, Ohio, area by the Worthington Company.
 
The business experienced several evolutions—of name, ownership and product lines—before A. Malachi Mixon III purchased and re-envisioned the company in the late 1970s. Invacare’s rehabilitation brands have continued to grow and diversify in recent years, transforming industry possibilities, and refining product performance.
 
Today, as an NYSE-listed corporation, Invacare is positioned as the medical equipment industry frontrunner in the global home and long-term care market—dedicated to enabling those with physical limitations to access life’s experiences.
